Most of my work is “Representional Abstract”

which basically means I take inspiration from the world around us and turn them into abstract works, but rather than being straight forward abstract I try to encapture the essence, feeling and mood of the original scene.

On a recent trip to Australia, for example, I was fascinated by some of the sunsets and the reflections caught on the surface of the sea and used these images in a series of pieces. Whilst the works are in abstract form the viewer can easily understand the work and be
drawn into the painting.
